My Dog Faery, by Max, age 9
Faery is so nice, beautiful, and has never hurt me or my brother or my Mom. Faery does not growl or bite. Sometimes she catches chipmunks but she does not hurt them. She carries them around. We can guess from her body language that she has something. We go to her and ask her to drop the animal. She drops the animal. We take the animal outside the eclectic fence and leave it alone. The animal has usually passed out or plays dead and then it wakes up and runs away. I am very happy that she does not kill them. Once the council was working on drains and a rat hid under a rock: she pinned that rat down all day and did not move from the spot until it was her bedtime and My Mom made her go to bed.
Once I went with her to a dog show and she one a prize in every category she was put in she even came second in best of breed (Sweepstakes), and she won money and a collar. I have ribbons and rosettes she won on my door. Faery loves everyone, my friends and everyone who walks by the garden. The Teenagers when they walk home come into the front garden and pet her. Once a mean kid hit her with a stick and Faery lay down and did not move, she did not bite even though she was being hurt. That kid has moved away. I am very proud of her when I take her for a walk, everyone wants to know what kind of dog she is but no one knows. Our neighbours have Faery’s half sister because they loved Faery so much. When we bought our guinea pigs at the humane society we took Faery and the humane society person liked Faery so much she bough one. Now there are three faerys in the neighbourhood. |

Hope you enjoyed Max’s story about his Faery … we feel that Faery deserves the title of KDX (Kids Dog Excellent) |
